Three years of experience working with budgets, payroll, travel requisitions, supervising staff, or in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. *Nature & Purpose of Position:*Performs advanced administrative assistant duties and assists the Director of the Global Engagement Center with administrative and student related duties. *Primary Responsibilities:*Assists the Global Engagement Center (GEC) with all administrative tasks to include payroll, budgeting, scheduling, purchasing, time keeping, travel registration, and billing. Serves at the front desk to provide customer service to all walk-in visitors. Answers phones and general inquiries. Monitors GEC budget and orders supplies. Manages student workers and enters documentation for hiring. Maintains student records, building fee statements, sponsored student billing, and files. Processes Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs). Makes domestic and international travel arrangements, requisitions foreign travel pre-approvals, travel advances and reconciles vouchers according to policy. Serve as back up Designated School Official (DSO), Alternate Responsible Office (ARO), and be the first point-of-contact support for inquiries within International Student and Scholar Services and Study Abroad. Performs other related duties as assigned. *Other Specifications:*Position involves multitasking and prioritizing projects. Requires interaction with other staff, faculty, academic departments, grant officials and other SHSU representatives. Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions.
