*Job Summary / Basic Function:*The Director of the TSUS Polk County Center (PCC) is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Polk County Center for three TSUS State colleges. Management of the PCC is coordinated among the Provosts and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the three TSUS State colleges. The Director will manage the PCC including daily operations, program and course inventory, student enrollment, and community relations. The Director will provide all constituents with a student-centered, customer service-friendly experience. This is an exempt staff position and will report to the Provosts and Vice President for Academic Affairs at LSCO, LIT, and LSCPA. Job Duties * Manage the PCC in a manner that is equitable between the TSUS State colleges. * Represent the TSUS State colleges equitably to individuals and organizations. * Maintain regular communication with the provosts and VP for Academic Affairs at each TSUS State college. * Annually review current and future program/course offerings for viability and fiscal responsibility. * Design and implement a schedule of courses that adheres to agreed upon program offerings and is equitable among the TSUS State colleges. * Develop a work scheduled that coordinates with the academic calendar. * Develop a PCC academic calendar that coordinates with the ISD’s in the Livingston area. * Plan and implement recruiting strategies and events, retention efforts, and student activities. * Coordinate academic support services available at the respective State College to promote student success. * Increase enrollment by 1% annually at the PCC. * Develop and implement a recruitment plan that includes the TSUS State colleges. * Serve as chief disciplinary officer according to the TSUS policy. * Monitor the community to identify the educational needs of the community. * Supervise the day-to-day operations of the PCC. * Oversee the Testing Center schedule, including academic and standardized testing. * Supervise shared services personnel. * Maintain financial records and budget planning for the PCC. * Monitor the condition of the physical plant and report repairs when needed. * Inventory equipment and report the results to the equipment owner. * Represent PCC at various events. * Generate reports that address the mission and goals of the PCC. * Comply with TSUS and TSUS State colleges’ Policies and Procedures. * Perform all other duties, as required and/or assigned Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to move about routinely within and between work areas. Visual and auditory acuity must be sufficient to perform job-related tasks. Travel is an essential function of the role. The position requires the ability to stand, lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis. Occasional stooping and bending may also be necessary.*Minimum Qualifications:* * Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university required. * Excellent customer service skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Advanced knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. * Knowledge of office administrative procedures, desktop and laptop computers, copiers, scanners, and normal office equipment * Excellent time management skills * Valid driver’s license *Preferred Qualifications:* * Master’s degree from an accredited university or college * Minimum of three years of experience in a higher education setting. * Administrative experience in a higher education setting * Community college, lower division, or two-year college experience is strongly preferred * Knowledge and skills using Banner or other Student Information System and Blackboard * Community relations experience, including strong ties and connections within the Livingston/Polk County, Texas area. *Salary:*Commensurate *EEO Statement:*Lamar Institute of Technology is an Equal Opportunity employer.
