EVENTS MANAGER Position Summary The Catering Manager is responsible for performing activities related to the food venues. Job Specific Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Performs set-up and breakdown service for events in a timely manner, ensuring rugs, floors, tables and linens are clean Consults with Dining Manager on staffing needs for functions Assists with customer billing, transactions, and the basic needs of event coordinationTransports materials to and from event locations Provides excellent customer service and communication with Residents and guestsAddresses customer concerns promptly and courteous Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dining ware, linens, serving ware and work areas Restocks and returns all equipment to appropriate storage areas Provides solutions to problems concerning any issues a Resident may have Answers guests' questions and handles complaints related to catering services expeditiously Works in dining venues when staffing levels are low Provides caring, thoughtful and engaging service at all times Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisor Meets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment Supervisory Responsibilities None Required Skills and AbilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and strong customer support skillsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with Team Members, Residents, family members, visitors, and the general publicWork professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgroundsWhen working in Resident areas, must be able to communicate effectively in EnglishAttends and participates in in-service educational classes, Healthcare Academy and staff meetings as directedComplies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguardsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent2 years of food service in a health care setting preferredServe Safe CertifiedPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
