(2) To work in partnership across UNC and with external partners to coordinate and deliver 21st century educational programs that provide students with the experience and skills to thrive in a growing global economy. (3) To put new environmental knowledge into action by engaging and serving communities, here in North Carolina and around the world. (4) To fuel and harness the university’s sustainability activities through the Sustainable Carolina Initiative *Position Summary:*This Geo-Health Internship Program Teacher Leader positions will do their work in Robeson County, in support of our project. The Geo-Health Internship Program Teacher Leader positions will provide Master of Arts/Master of Arts in Teaching (MA/MAT) students opportunities to: (1) deepen their knowledge of geoscience and environmental health, (2) pilot hands-on activities with curricular connections (to NC Essential Standards for Science) that introduce geoscience and environmental health topics, and (3) enhance science teaching practices. The positions will meet regularly with the project team and when possible, engage graduate students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC-P) to support activities and expose students to STEM professionals and STEM education careers. *Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:*Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. *Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Ability to organize and manage work effectively, independently and collaboratively. *Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Ability to multi-task *Campus Security Authority Responsibilities:*Not Applicable.
