This entry-level position is designed for students who want to gain work experience while contributing to the university community. Training will be provided, and no prior housekeeping experience is required. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist with basic cleaning of assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. * Sanitize and restock restrooms as directed. * Gather and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas. * Help with preparing facilities for special events (set-up and clean-up). * Deliver supplies to dorms or other campus buildings as needed. * Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor. * Use cleaning supplies and equipment properly and safely. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Willingness to learn standard cleaning practices. * Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team. * Dependability and strong attention to detail. * Good communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work in various environments (residence halls, classrooms, offices). *SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position does have supervisory responsibility. * *OTHER DUTIES:*Performs other duties as assigned. *QUALIFICATIONS: No prior housekeeping experience required; training provided. * Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive work attitude. * Good customer service skills. *Licensing and Certifications:* NA *WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may require standing, walking, bending, or lifting throughout the shift. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. * Exposure to cleaning supplies (training provided on safe use). * Work is indoors, though some tasks may require moving between buildings. *Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
