Position Overview:
The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of production machinery and equipment. This role plays a critical part in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on various manufacturing and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Inspect machines for wear, damage, or malfunction and determine necessary repairs
• Replace or rebuild defective components such as motors, bearings, gears, and pumps
• Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to reduce downtime
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, parts usage, and inspections
• Assist with the setup, relocation, and installation of new machinery
• Perform basic fabrication or modification of parts when needed
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of machine maintenance or industrial repair experience in a manufacturing setting
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments
• Basic computer skills for logging and tracking maintenance activities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or trade school training preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and climbing
