Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)
Location: Norwich, CT
Shift: 3rd Shift, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
Job Summary
Repair and maintain production machinery and building-related electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous production through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Repair and maintain production machines, conveyor systems, and related equipment using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer recommendations
Troubleshoot building mechanical systems and production machinery, including compressors, injection molding machines, thermolators, dryers, and related accessory equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on molding and production equipment
Complete routine maintenance tasks in molding areas, including conveyors, grinders, and mechanical repairs or replacements
Maintain accurate work practices while following safety and environmental guidelines
Practice good housekeeping and take appropriate measures to prevent pollution or environmental impact
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 to 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Experience with hydraulic systems and PLC troubleshooting
Proficient with hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift experience
Experience maintaining injection molding machines
Experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment
