Pay: $71.00 per hour Job description: Pharmacist (Full-Time) Location: Portsmouth Naval Medical Center & Surrounding Clinics – Virginia Company: U.S. Got People (USGP) USGP is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to provide full-time support at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and nearby medical facilities. This is a unique opportunity to serve active-duty service members, veterans, and their families in a respected federal healthcare environment. What We Offer: Competitive Pay: $71.00/hour Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) Paid Time Off & Sick Leave Work Locations May Include: NMC Portsmouth BHC Boone BHC Dam Neck BHC Oceana TPC Chesapeake TPC Virginia Beach TPC Suffolk BHC NAVSTA Norfolk Scott Center BHC Yorktown Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy Graduate of a pharmacy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Must have completed at least 15 hours of ACPE-approved continuing education within the past 2 years Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional pharmacy experience within the last 36 months Experience with pharmacy computer systems (e.g., DHA MHS GENESIS, retail or hospital pharmacy systems) Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain): Hepatitis B (series and titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB (Tuberculosis) test Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable) Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and services Review patient profiles and prescriptions to monitor medication therapy Counsel patients on medication usage, interactions, and side effects Accurately check a minimum of 50 prescriptions per hour, and intervene with providers as necessary for any discrepancies Compound medications when required Ensure all medications prepared or processed by pharmacy technicians meet safety and accuracy standards Supervise pharmaceutical inventory, particularly controlled substances Maintain compliance with all regulatory and security protocols related to drug storage and dispensing Maintain accurate records for all scheduled and controlled substances Why USGP?
