Job Description:

An ESS Substitute Paraprofessional supports classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities, supervising students, and providing additional support to individuals or small groups of students as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• TB Test
• Department of Justice background check

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with instructional activities in the classroom.
• Provide support to individual students or small groups under the direction of the teacher.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and other assigned areas.
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of instructional materials.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social needs.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
