Major Refrigeration Ltd. was established in 2012 and employs more than 150 employees. As a Foreman or Lead Hand at Major Refrigeration, you will lead a team of skilled mechanical tradespersons, ensuring that each repair, maintenance, installation, and construction project meets the highest standards of customer service and workmanship. Your role involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of excellence, safety and collaboration across the team. This position is open to candidates in Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Role and Responsibilities: Lead Technical Resource on assigned projects Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, General Contractors and subcontractors Create reports on job status' and performance Ensure all employees are working safely and following company policies and procedures (eg. personal protective equipment (PPE) and vehicle safety) Ensure compliance of installation policies and procedures (eg. project tracking, health and safety and time and attendance) Oversee 3rd party resources, as required Organize tasks for crew of 3-5 peers Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements: 313A Mechanic or Registered 4th or 5th term Apprentice (Refrigeration and HVAC Technician) Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial building construction or other related industry/trade Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours Making good judgment in work assignments Proficient in providing clear and concise direction Must be able to work with minimum supervision Ability to use technology including email and job tracking software Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification, required Ability to stand, crouch, kneel and climb ladders Valid G driver's licence with a clean record We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those that best meet our needs and qualifications will be contacted.
