Amity Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President to join our team. You would be focused on investing in affordable housing properties and platforms, as well as special situation opportunities in a wide range of real estate sectors. You would be joining a vibrant, entrepreneurial team working out of our downtown Portland (ME) or Greenwich (CT) offices. The firm’s discretionary funds, financial stability and fast growth would allow the right candidate ample room for career advancement. Requirements -4 years of relevant work experience in finance, private equity, CMBS, JV Equity, or Affordable housing. -Strong analytical skills. -Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Willingness to travel (~20%). -Proficient in Excel. -Comfortable reviewing legal documents (credit agreements, LPAs, PSAs, etc.) Responsibilities -Analyze opportunities from brokers, investment bankers, and off-market channels. -Build and review financial models, oversee due diligence, and drive closings. -Help execute asset management business plans. -Deals will include the acquisition of a wide variety of asset types, with particular emphasis in the Affordable housing sector. -Special projects include corporate private equity and structured financings. -Ability to review and drive work with lawyers regarding legal documentation for complex deals. -Other duties as required.
