We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the Kaiser Aluminum team in Richmond, Virginia, at our Bellwood Plant! What you will work on: Assist in developing and implementing maintenance strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness. Make valuable contributions to new business initiatives and projects, while also assessing and communicating their impact on Maintenance activities. Efficiently assign maintenance issues and projects to the appropriate team members, ensuring effective planning and management of tasks. Maintain regular and consistent checks to ensure the site infrastructure is maintained and operating effectively; Roof, Heating/Air Conditioning, Cooling Tower, Compressed Air, Natural Gas, Electrical Distribution. Efficiently coordinate internal and external work schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Engage team members, production leaders and associates, as well as other internal and external support staff in active planning and work activities to gain maximum synergies and results. Stay updated with ongoing training and development opportunities. Analyze the underlying causes of issues and effectively solve problems based on OEE analysis for prioritizing work based on risk and impact. Ensure you are aware and informed about any changes that could impact the availability of required products and materials and promptly communicate any potential consequences to others. Supervise contractors on site to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company regulations. Make sure that the department operates in line with SQDCM, to include all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to prioritize the safety and well-being of staff and visitors. Encourage a culture of excellence by setting a strong example and ensuring that every team member understands and upholds the expected standards and behaviors. Oversee and guide the team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels. Inspire and guide the team towards achieving operational success. Oversee the completion of tasks and ensure high performance and accurate record-keeping on appropriate systems. Manage spending within the Maintenance Department and be able to explain any budget deviations. Oversee the performance and growth of a skilled Maintenance team, ensuring they consistently achieve their goals and drive continuous improvement. Support and ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures. Support, encourage, and develop the team, taking ownership for team cohesion. Take initiative in fostering a positive team environment and actively engage with the maintenance team on the plant floor. What you will bring to the position: Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in heavy manufacturing. Technical capability and understanding. Experience of managing financial responsibilities for maintenance related functions. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite. TPM based educational training a plus. Motivated individual with the ability to inspire and drive improvement. CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management System experience. Maximo experience strongly preferred. CPMM- Certified Plant Maintenance Manager preferred. No third-party candidate submissions are being accepted at this time for this opening.
