Job Details Level Entry Job Location Corporate office - Tempe, AZ Position Type Full Time Salary Range $20.00 Hourly Pool Technician The Pool Technician is responsible for performing regular troubleshooting, repairs, and occasional maintenance on pools and spas to ensure they operate at peak efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of pool plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment, including heaters and heat/cool pumps. The technician will also install and repair pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems, providing clients with orientations on equipment use and maintenance. A key aspect of this position is to ensure compliance with safety protocols, maintain accurate records of work performed, and deliver exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and promote positive referrals. Daily tasks include but notlimited to; Perform regular troubleshooting and repairs on pools and spas to ensure optimal functionality. Have a working knowledge of pool plumbing and electrical wiring for equipment, as well as pool/spa heaters and heat/cool pumps. Install and repair pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently. Complete daily records of work performed, maintaining accurate and detailed logs. Provide equipment orientations to clients, ensuring they understand how to maintain their pool, balance chemicals, and use their automation system. Provide occasional maintenance services upon customer request including algae treatments, filter cleans, acid washes, and drain and cleans. Perform all duties while providing excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients. Qualifications Valid AZ drivers license, clean driving record, and pre-employment drug screening Technical Experience Requirements: 3 years experience in water hydraulics, water chemistry, plumbing, and electrical Familiarity with all Pentair Pool Products Experience in pool maintenance, operations, and repair techniques Certifications such as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) preferred Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address and resolve technical and operational issues Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and the ability to manage client relationships proactively Good physical condition, as the role requires manual labor, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various weather conditions.
