Equal Opportunity Employer JOB SUMMARY: The Scale Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operation and duties of the scale and admin functions. The position is critical to our continued growth and success and serves as the operator of the scale and cash drawer for both public and private customers, intake accurate weights through the system, calculate payments, manage shipping paperwork. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Communicate with street customers, process public payments and monitor cash drawer Great customers, direct traffic and answer questions Handle incoming phone calls Managing the day to day operations of the cash drawer and scale house Oversea input of data into our software and ensure protocols are followed Process documentation and prepare reports relating to daily, weekly and monthly shipments and loads Keep supervisor and other coworkers informed of all shipments and paperwork Keep supervisor and other coworkers informed of all problems or matters requiring attention Work overtime and weekends as needed Providing clerical and administrative support to management and office Oversee the general upkeep and supply needs of the scale house REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual in English and Spanish Effective communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills Quick learner and intelligent Excellent multi-tasking and project management Strong organizational skills Strong MS Office and computers skills Ability to learn new software quickly Strong problem-solving skills The desire to do the job right every time DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 year of Scale House experience 2 years of cashier/customer service experience Experience in scale house software (ROM, recycling operations management) highly desired Recycling or shipping experience a plus COMPENSATION PACKAGE: - $18.50 - $22 per hour Depending on Experience - 10 days accruable PTO - Paid Holidays
